FISCALFLOW RUNWAY PLANNING GUIDE ================================ An uncomplicated way to turn cash visibility into better founder decisions. 1. START WITH TODAY Write down your actual bank balance, committed receivables, and unavoidable payments. Do not use a dashboard number you have not reconciled. 2. MAP THE NEXT 13 WEEKS Create one row per week. Add expected collections, payroll, tax, vendors, rent, debt, and any planned hiring or launch spend. 3. SEPARATE BASE FROM CHOICE Mark every outflow as BASE (must happen), GROWTH (important investment), or OPTIONAL (can wait). This makes a difficult week easier to navigate. 4. TEST THREE SCENARIOS - Base case: the plan you expect to happen - Slow case: collections arrive later and growth is softer - Action case: the one change you would make to protect runway 5. SET A DECISION TRIGGER Choose a minimum cash buffer and a date to review it every week. Decide in advance what you will pause, renegotiate, or accelerate when you reach it. 6. KEEP THE STORY INVESTOR-READY Your runway is more useful when the assumptions behind it are clear. Keep a short note for each major movement so your future self can explain the why.
